Weekend Getaway:Las Vegas

5.12.14

This past weekend my mom took my sister and I to Las Vegas on a little weekend getaway. Her reason for doing this was to have a chance to bond with us as we have all been really busy as of lately. So anyway, the Friday after Thanksgiving, we boarded a 11:00 flight to Las Vegas. The three days we spent there were the epitome of the saying printed on my favorite sweatshirt; " Eat, Shop, Sleep Repeat".  If you're not in Vegas to gamble or party, you're probably going to have a similar routine that I had during my stay in that vibrant city.
When I say that we shopped, I mean that we SHOPPED! My mom bought the most beautiful Miu Miu handbag that I've ever seen with the matching wallet. While I didn't go that high end in my purchases, I did do a good amount of damage in TopShop. I also had great sucess in a good deal of other stores that I love as a lot of Black Friday sales were going on while we were there.
Food was amazing as many of the best chefs in the country have restaurants all in walking distance of eachother. On the Friday that we arrived, we ate at Wolfgang Puck's Italian restaurant. I had the best roasted chicken of my life there, it was absolutely delish! Saturday we had Chinese food at this noodle place at the Venitian Hotel, it was really authentic Chinese food, really good Dim Sum! That night we went to the Sugar Factory at the Paris Hotel for dinner. Whoa is all I can say about that place! They make really simple food different and it's just amazing at how they can take familiar dishes and amp up their deliciousness by 1 million percent! Their desserts were the highlight of my dining experience, I had their cookie jar milkshake and it was definitely one of the best things I've ever put in my mouth! ( cue the "that's what she said" jokes )

This weekend trip was just what I needed and I think I speak for both my mom and my sister when I say that we left feeling very relaxed and 10 lbs lighter, at least from stress. We had quite a lot of shopping to bring back with us! I'm planning on doing a haul video on my YouTube channel so subscribe to my channel to see that video and other vlogmas videos that'll be on there during the month of December.
